How To Maintain Straight Hair

To give straight hair a quick/temporary fix of moisture spray silicone or lusteriser on it.
However, make sure you don’t forget to spray at the ends because they are the most affected areas. Below is a Detailed explanation on how you can keep your wig moisturized. If the hair is beyond regular repair it would have to be treated professionally.

Step #1 – Spray lusteriser or silicone

1. You should very lightly spray each section of the hair with lusteriser or silicone spray

Step #2 – Gently Brush the Hair

To remove tangles, gently brush the hair from bottom making your way up to the weft. Make sure that you always use a wide-toothed comb when brushing tangled wigs. Regular combs and hairbrushes will ruin the hair, leaving your wig looking frizzy and result in shedding.

Step #3– Store your Wig Carefully

The final step in how to care for straight wigs is ensuring that you store your detangled wig carefully. Gently cover the wig with a hair net to keep the hair in place and to prevent further tangling. Then, put your wig on a wig stand or wig hanger.

NB**
Do not throw your wig onto the floor, a counter or a chest of drawers as this can easily lead to your curls becoming tangled and knotted.

How To Wash A Straight Wig :

We recommend you take it back to the company you bought it at for a thorough wash or refer to www.sharahair.co.za

Tips & Tricks

• Rinsing with hot water will damage the cap and can cause the hair to become dry. Also Avoid saltwater, and chlorine to prevent any damage to the strands.
• Do not dry on a solid form or mannequin head to avoid stretching the cap.
• After washing or treatment always air dry instead or blow drying to maintain texture of the hair
• We do not recommend sleeping, showering or swimming while wearing the wig.
• Store the wig on a wig stand or wig hanger to avoid unwanted kinks or crimps.
• Lace is delicate and should not be tugged or pulled.
• Avoid brushing the hair when wet to prevent damage.
• Any cutting or chemical processes, such as perming or coloring, should be done by a professional hair stylist. We do not recommend lifting or bleaching human hair; depositing color provides the best result.
• Keep it on a wig stand when you’re not wearing it. This can help maintain its structure and keep it from getting tangled.

How to Take Care of Curly Wigs

Step #1 - Section the hair

1. The first step of curly wig maintenance is to separate sections of the hair. If your curly wig has tight, small ringlets then separate the hair into smaller sections. If your curly wig has larger, looser curls, you can separate the hair into larger sections.

Step #2 – Spray leave in conditioner
1. Next, you should very lightly spray each section with leave in conditioner or conditioner mixed with water.

Step #3 – Gently Brush the Hair

To remove tangles, gently brush the curls from bottom making your way up to the weft. Make sure that you always use a wide-toothed comb when brushing curly wigs. Regular combs and hairbrushes will ruin the curls, leave your wig looking frizzy and result in shedding.

Step #4 – Store your Wig Carefully

The final step in how to care for curly wigs is ensuring that you store your detangled wig carefully. Gently cover the wig with a hair net to keep the curls in place and to prevent further tangling. Then, put your wig on a wig stand or wig hanger.

NB**
Do not throw your wig onto the floor, a counter or a chest of drawers as this can easily lead to your curls becoming tangled and knotted.

How to Wash a Curly Wig

Washing curly wigs should be done as little as possible, and only when absolutely necessary. If your curly wig is looking greasy, losing its shine and is becoming difficult to style, you may need to wash your wig. We recommend you take it back to the company you bought it at for a thorough wash.
